Jejomar Binay, Makati’s Bet For Presidency
6:34 PM
When I heard that Mayor Jejomar Binay and MMDA Secretary Bayani Fernando confirmed that its possible that they will run for the highest position in the Philippines.

Few months ago, there were rumors that Mayor Binay will run for Presidency. Take note that I’m not from Makati City. Last year, I had a chance to have a small chat with our accountant who happen to be a Makati voter. She’s already a senior citizen of Makati City and enjoying the benefits of a senior citizen. Now that the Makati City’s Foundation Day commercial frequently aired in TV, I agree that senior citizens there receives what they deserve compared to other municipalities. My dad never received additional benefits such as free birthday cake, Christmas gift etc in our municipality. Our accountant’s office is in Parañaque, she said if Binay will run for president, she will vote and campaign for him.

A colleague having a small KTV bar both in Parañaque City and Makati City told me last year that his business in Makati is bigger than Parañaque and he was paying bigger taxes in Parañaque. Makati businesses have more potential costumers compared in Parañaque, he was earning better, lower taxes. You know what happened? He closed his business in Parañaque and concentrate on his Makati establishment.

One more thing in Makati City is they allow rallies against the present administration. Do I have to say that Mayor Binay is an opposition?

Mayor Binay denied that the commercial is part of his early campaign for presidency, he said it is part of month long celebration of Makati’s foundation day on June 1. Does airing the commercial for a month necessary? How much does it cost per commercial?

However, I was moved seeing these youtube videos posted 2 years ago:
Makati Rockwell Scandal
Makati Lupit Ng Kupit Scandal
Makati School Book Scandal

I don’t know what happened to this controversies, please enlighten by updating me.
