UNA Convention Set Sept.30
9:44 Am
The final line-up of the United Negros Alliance (UNA) all over the province will be known this coming September 30 when the party holds its convention.

This was bared yesterday by Negros Occidental Governor Isidro Zayco.

The governor said that their candidates in the towns, cities and congressional districts in the province will be known during the convention.

During its meeting last month, Zayco said that Sagay City mayor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. signified that he is available to run for Governor of the province if Zayco will decide to run for Mayor of Kabankalan City.

The Marañon-Zayco tandem then came out. However, Zayco said that his younger brother, Kabankalan City Mayor Pedro Zayco, Jr. is more inclined to run for Prov’l Board Member rather than be the vice governor or presiding officer of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occ.

Meanwhile, Zayco said that before September 30, everyone would have already a clearer picture about his political plans when he delivers his State of the Province Address (SOPA) on September 16.

Zayco is set to deliver his SOPA during the regular session of the SP at 2:00 p.m.* (TEDulla)
